Foreward.

My sister got married in October 2001. She and her husband agreed to wait a year to have a baby. I remember having a conversation with my sister about the possibility of her being very pregnant at my wedding in May 2003. She wasn't. Good news didn't come until November 2003. Gabe was on his way.
Then their was a hope of a second child, months spent on clomid, a PCOS diagnosis, a surgery. All to no avail. Then their first fertility doctor moved out of state which led to more waiting, more tests, and the knowledge of further complications. Then their second doctor retired which led to more waiting and more tests. That brings us to 2009.
It was determined that IVF was the only route to more children. They went for it. Two embryos were implanted in November 2009. Two became three. That was shocking and exciting. Complications arose. Nathaniel, Kade, and Roanin were born at just 20 weeks, too early to survive. It was tragic.
That was only eight months ago. Connie and Jason decided to try again. This is their journey in pictures. I'm better at pictures than words especially when I'm trying to document looming grief and hope.
Enjoy.
